  • The ability to move up and down from the floor without assistance

  • Able to bear some weight on hands and wrists, as in the “cat-cow” position

  • Minimal orthostatic issues (low risk of fainting)

  • A fairly healthy spine

  • Health-care provider approval, as necessary
